Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 August 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SubCentral (the “Service”), a digital subscription hub for managing household services, utilities, insurance and recurring expenses. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service.
SubCentral (“we”, “us”, “our”) is provided to users in the United Kingdom. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
1. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens through your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello.subcentral@gmail.com.
2. Using the Service
SubCentral helps you record and analyse recurring payments you choose to enter. The Service does not connect to your bank or provider accounts and does not import transactions automatically; the accuracy of your dashboard depends on the information you provide. Any figures, savings estimates or benchmarks are provided for guidance only and do not constitute financial advice. You should always verify costs, renewal dates and alternative plans directly with the relevant provider before acting.
3. Free and Premium plans
The Service offers a free plan (up to 10 services, one household profile, with ads) and a paid Premium plan (unlimited services, up to 6 profiles, ad-free and additional reports). Premium is offered as a monthly subscription (£4/month) or annual subscription (£36/year). A one-off ad-removal pass may also be available.
4. Billing and cancellation
Premium checkout is handled by our payment processor, Base44 Payments. Payment card details are collected and stored by the processor — SubCentral never receives or stores your card number.
You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time from your Profile page. A soft cancel means your Premium benefits continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which your account reverts to the free plan. Refunds for partial billing periods are not provided except where required by law.
We may change our fees or introduce new plans with reasonable notice. Any change to the cost of an existing subscription will take effect at your next renewal after the change is communicated.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to access another user's data or interfere with the Service's security; (c) enter card numbers or bank account details into the Service (it is designed to store labels, not credentials); (d) reverse engineer, scrape or misuse the Service; or (e) use the Service to store any information you do not have the right to record.
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
6. No card or banking credentials
SubCentral deliberately does not store payment card numbers, bank account details or banking credentials. The payment-card field expects a descriptive label only. Banking services are blocked from the tracker. You remain responsible for managing your real accounts and payments directly with your providers.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its design and its content are owned by SubCentral and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own household purposes. You retain ownership of the data you enter; we process it as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that savings estimates, renewal dates or alternative-plan information are accurate, complete or up to date, and we are not liable for any decision made in reliance on them. You should always confirm details with the relevant provider.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SubCentral shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or £10, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update or change the Service from time to time. We may also update these Terms; where a change is significant we will notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Termination
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page; we erase your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. We may suspend or terminate the Service, or your access to it, for any lawful reason with reasonable notice.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a claim in your local courts if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK.
